Mechanical Piping Design Co-op Opportunity

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is a leading provider of engineering, automation, and systems integration services. We are seeking a self-driven and detail-oriented co-op to join our team as a Mechanical Piping Design Co-op.

About the Role:

This is a technical co-op position that involves performing assignments with clear objectives and requiring the investigation of a limited number of variables. The co-op will work in a support role to the project engineer or technical lead, assigned small tasks, and generate CAD drawings based on detailed design provided by an experienced project team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to Matrix and client established safety standards.
  • Support project engineers and technical leads in their tasks and projects.
  • Generate CAD drawings based on detailed design provided by experienced project team members.
  • Follow company design standards and identify and use appropriate tools for each application.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a college student enrolled in an accredited ABET mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology degree program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving objects up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
