Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality CT images of patients while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Follow established scanning protocols and adjust as needed to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines and utilize Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Operate the CT scanner safely and competently, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech, to ensure accurate patient data and billing.
  • Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner, addressing patient concerns and needs.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and invasive procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, and performing biopsies as needed.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist with PACS clean up, including unarchived images, verifications, and reporting unspecified images.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients, adhering to HIPAA Policy and Procedure.
  • Complete and maintain personal educational requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • ARRT - CT Technology Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
