Job Overview

Quail Park at Shannon Ranch is seeking a Part-Time Class B Driver to join our team. As a Class B Driver, you will be responsible for transporting residents to and from appointments, scheduled community outings, and special events. This is a part-time position, and the schedule will include weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to and from appointments, scheduled community outings, and special events in community vehicles.
  • Assist residents in and out of vehicles as needed, including loading and unloading wheelchairs, walkers, and other assist devices.
  • Maintain community vehicles in clean and orderly condition, including washing, refueling, and inspecting and reporting any mechanical defects or malfunctions.
  • Complete a thorough vehicle inspection check prior to vehicle operation and report any discrepancies.
  • Report any resident incidents or physical or behavioral concerns that occur during transport to the appropriate director immediately upon return.
  • Complete transportation activity records in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within a specified timeframe after hire (if required based on vehicle occupancy and state regulations).
  • Previous experience working with seniors in a senior living environment (preferred).
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family, and team members.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other team members.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work full-time or part-time as agreed upon, on assigned shift, including weekend and holiday rotations.
  • Requires local travel on a routine basis, and occasional long-distance travel.
