Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at HCA HealthONE Aurora. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has excellent technical skills.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, and preparing the room with necessary equipment and supplies. You will work closely with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel to provide exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate ultrasound equipment.
  • Prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Interact with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel to provide exceptional care and support.
  • Maintain technical skills and ensure patient safety.
  • Assist with clerical duties, receptionist tasks, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files, and general cleaning.
  • Collect data for PI monitors and conduct QC on equipment.
Requirements
  • Current ARDMS certification with Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
  • Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Familiarity with ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures.
  • High degree of manual, critical thinking skills, and dexterity skills necessary for operation of equipment and patient care.
