Who We Are:

Hord Family Farms is recognized nationally for our exceptional swine production practices. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our production workforce.

These roles provide comprehensive training, pathways for advancement, and encompass all facets of animal care. No previous experience is required.


A Typical Day:

This essential entry-level position operates on the first shift (approximately 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday) and is tasked with the daily care of all sows and piglets to ensure optimal productivity.

The successful candidate will work in a climate-controlled environment, assisting with all aspects of animal care, as well as performing light facility repairs and maintenance.

The ideal applicant will possess a genuine interest in working with pigs, a readiness to learn, a strong record of dependability, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence.


Requirements:
  • Candidates must not currently own or have regular contact with non-Hord pigs.
  • Exhibit a high level of respect towards team members and animals.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Outstanding reliability and dependability record.
  • Willingness to learn and effectively execute complex instructions.
  • Availability to work every third weekend (weekend hours are slightly shorter than regular hours, with a weekday off each time you work a weekend).
