Job Summary

G2 Secure Staff is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Airport Access Control Agent to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for controlling access to restricted areas and ensuring the safety and security of our clients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent unauthorized individuals from gaining access to the guarded area.
  • Patrol designated areas and ensure all persons/property entering and leaving the premises are properly authorized.
  • Immediately report any discrepancies, violations, incidents, and concerns to the supervisor on duty.
  • Never leave post without being properly relieved.
  • Answer telephones in a polite and professional manner.
  • Be able to operate a computer and access systems (where applicable).
  • Complete reports in detail and in a timely manner.
  • Must be familiar with all Governmental/Client/Company regulations.
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area, and report maintenance needs.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients, staff, and public in a courteous manner.
  • Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports, and files as required.
  • Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials.
  • Identification badges must always be visible.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in the achievement of company objectives.
  • Utilize company and client equipment, supplies, and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in security, military, or public contract preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a reliable telephone and transportation.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout the shift and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold up to 70 lbs.
  • Must have good hearing and vision.
  • May be exposed to occasional loud noise levels.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be able to verbally direct in English.
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
  • May be required to work weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Working Conditions

The position requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. The employee may be exposed to occasional loud noise levels and must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout the shift and climb stairs.
