We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at University of Maryland Medical System. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and developing treatment programs for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients for speech and language disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these issues.
- Administer and conduct speech and language therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote patient progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct modified barium swallow studies and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech language pathology, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required, with ASHA certification preferred.
- One year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital setting preferred.
- Competence in modified barium swallow studies and FEES preferred.
- Current license or temporary license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Maryland.
- CPR (BLS) certification.
