Job Overview

Ibis Public Sector, a trusted digital navigator, is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Development Team Lead. This role requires senior knowledge and hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and leading software teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, designing and updating software databases to meet business needs.
  • Directly influence strategy formulation on how to achieve rapid prototyping of capabilities, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Implement Lean, Agile, and DevSecOps best practices to iteratively build applications in support of critical USAF missions.
  • Use Extreme Programming practices, including Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming, CI/CD, to drive software development and testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to train and upskill engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay informed on the latest software architectures and trends, applying this knowledge to guide technical decisions and migrate legacy systems to the cloud.

Requirements:
  • A US citizen with a Secret Security Clearance, possessing superior communication skills and the ability to brief executive-level leaders.
  • 8+ years of professional Full-Stack Software development experience, with expertise in Java, Web services, Database, and web application development.
  • 6+ years of programming experience with JavaScript, Java, and one other language (Python, etc.).
  • 4+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, such as Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
  • 3+ years of experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.
  • 5+ years of experience contributing to software architecture and design, reliability, and scaling of both new and existing software systems.
  • 2+ years of experience using container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • 3+ years of training, upskilling, and mentoring engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.).

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $110,000-$140,000 per year, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
