Job Description

The CDSS Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the operations of Human Learning Systems, a U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. This role is part of a federally-funded residential training program aimed at providing career-ready technical and basic skills training, as well as job placement assistance, to eligible youth ages 16-24.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and students.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference room use.
  • Provide administrative support, including typing, dictation, correspondence, and report preparation.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Compose and send correspondence, memos, and other documents.
  • Establish strong relationships with staff and students, serving as a resource person within the department.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred, with two years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
