Laboratory Accessioner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Accessioner to join our team at P&C Labs. As a Laboratory Accessioner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of patient specimens.

• Receive and process incoming specimens, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols.
• Enter patient demographic and test information into the Laboratory Information Management System (Nova Path) with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assign computer-generated identification numbers to specimens and accurately identify and label them.
• Process and accession laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring they are delivered to the proper department for analysis.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless specimen processing and testing.

• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
• Previous experience in a medical laboratory or office preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, scanners, and information systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
