We are seeking an experienced internal medicine or family medicine physician to join our team at the South Main clinic in McAllen, TX. As a partner of the Optum Care network, you will have the opportunity to work with a strong clinical support team and collaborate with our primary care physicians, hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists.
Key Highlights- Typically see 14 to 16 patients per day with 30 minutes per visit
- Quality of care is measured and rewarded, with most physicians earning $50,000 paid semi-annually
- 160 hours PTO in the first year, plus 5 days for CME, and 8 national holidays
- Strong clinical support team with NPs, PAs, RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT
- Collaborative work environment with opportunities for clinical and leadership growth
- We operate as a health system focused on quality/value-based outcomes
- Our providers are the absolute best in caring for our patients, and we believe that our providers must also have time to care for themselves and their families

- Base salary plus annual quality bonus with a target of $50,000

Requirements- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas or the ability to obtain prior to employment
- Valid DEA license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
- A working understanding and support of a managed care environment
