About the Position

The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a skilled Child Development Program Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and youth in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

">
  • Serve as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs
  • Provide care and supervision to program participants, including children and youth
  • Assist in preparing age-appropriate activities and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Arrange and serve snacks and meals, and may be required to transport children in government vehicles
  • Coordinate and conduct activities for children and/or youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years
  • Create an environment that welcomes participant interest and promotes positive interactions
  • Implement daily schedules and activity plans to ensure age/stage appropriateness

Requirements

">

A high school graduate or equivalent, with completion of DoD-approved competency-training courses and possession of a nationally recognized youth development credential, such as the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, military school-age credential, or Army Youth Practicum

Estimated Salary

">

$20.46 per hour (Target Level), $19.30 per hour (Intermediate Level), or $18.21 per hour (Entry Level)
