What You'll Do

Strive to create a classroom environment that embodies high expectations paired with robust support. Foster an inclusive educational community by participating in training and engaging in discussions surrounding race, identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Design and prepare for the effective delivery of a coherent, research-driven curriculum. Utilize a variety of assessment tools to refine curriculum and enhance instructional practices. Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues through consistent and effective communication. Commit to ongoing professional growth through regular coaching sessions, professional development opportunities, and collaborative, data-informed reflection with peers. Promote the social-emotional well-being of all students by cultivating a positive classroom atmosphere and partnering with families and support staff. Encourage active citizenship among students through age-appropriate discussions and activities related to current events, community service, and the celebration of cultural heritage. Participate in school-wide events and responsibilities, including transitions, family conferences, tutoring, and other assigned duties as determined by school leadership.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $63,480 to $135,090, based on years of teaching experience and certification status. Starting salaries begin at $63,480 for first-year uncertified teachers and $69,000 for first-year certified teachers, reaching a maximum of $135,090 for certified teachers with 29 or more years of experience.
