Hydraulic Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fabrication Technician to join our team at The Hope Group, A SunSource Company. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for assembling hydraulic power units of varying size and complexity, as well as testing and troubleshooting fluid power products.

• Pull necessary parts to prepare for assembly
• Inspect parts and various components
• Build units according to engineering specifications, including component layout, fabricating miscellaneous brackets and structures, selection of appropriate tubing and fittings, tube bending, fabrication and installation, and prep and/or test completed unit
• Adjust components and equipment and perform troubleshooting to identify and correct issues
• Prep and/or paint completed unit
• Clean, organize, and maintain the Shop and Shop equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development
• Potentially travel offsite to help start systems at customer's facilities

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR combination of related training and experience
• 1+ years' experience in fluid power assembly required
• 3+ years experience preferred
• Advanced mechanical aptitude required
• General metal working & pipe fitting experience preferred
• GMAW carbon steel welding experience preferred
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, fluid power and electrical schematics/drawings
• Physical Requirements-Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Position requires standing, bending and kneeling 95% to 100% of the workday
