Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at ALDI. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily receiving, selection, and shipping of products to our stores. This is a full-time position that requires a strong focus on efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and modify daily work schedules to meet warehouse needs
  • Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports on a daily and/or extended basis
  • Oversee the daily receiving of product and/or oversee the daily selection and shipping of product to stores
  • Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with established guidelines
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Model the company strategy and communicate the core values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
  • Interact effectively with peers through ongoing communication and exchange of information
  • Collaborate with other divisional operational areas and communicate relevant information
  • Communicate with District Managers and store management as appropriate
  • Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding changes to improve the operation
  • Monitor all companies providing service within the warehouse to ensure acceptable performance
  • Ensure communication with the in-house carrier of daily schedule changes and needs
  • Monitor the competitive environment within the community and inform management regarding adjustments necessary to maintain the company's competitive position
  • Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate
  • Address warehouse issues, escalate and/or refer concerns to peers, 3rd parties, or other management as appropriate
  • Oversee the activities of warehouse personnel to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations
  • Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings
  • Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential
  • Observe and evaluate employees' work performance and provide feedback and coaching as appropriate
  • Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervise warehouse teams to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operational safety guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses and provide inventory and efficiency results
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards and maintaining equipment in proper working order
  • Manage direct reports to ensure they comply with established policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments)
  • Ability to frequently stand, sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse
  • Ability to frequently lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
