Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at Friendship Retirement Community.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Aide will provide exceptional patient care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges as instructed by licensed nurses.
  • Provide daily personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and condition.
  • Assist residents with walking, repositioning, and transferring, using medical equipment as needed.
  • Measure and record vital signs, heights, and weights as required.
  • Ensure residents have adequate supplies and track usage through Orbitz.
  • Comply with individual resident care plans and follow all requirements.
Requirements:
  • Licensed CNA in the state of VA or ability to provide a training certificate from a board-approved program.
  • Adult First Aid/CPR and AED certification required; Friendship can provide training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and interest in geriatrics, with a good understanding of medical terminology.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
