Job Summary: We're looking for experienced Intensive Care Unit RNs to work as travel nurses in Jefferson City, MO. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and possess strong communication skills.

As an ICU Travel Nurse, you'll be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit setting. You'll provide direct care to patients in life-threatening situations, documenting and providing physician-directed care, assessing and implementing patient care plans, and delegating tasks to other care providers as needed. Additionally, you'll educate and support patient families, possibly for long-term care needs.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following tasks:
  • Provide basic bedside care.
  • Administer medication and record prescribed treatment.
  • Evaluate diagnostic test results.
  • Order and interpret lab work.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment.
  • Ensure proper placement and functioning of medical devices.
  • Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, bending, leaning, and stooping without difficulty, as well as lifting up to 20 pounds.
