About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments to our patients, utilizing the latest advancements in technology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers' orders.
  • Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
  • Operate treatment and treatment planning equipment to include simulation in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Prepare treatments and administer prescribed doses in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care as normally obtained through an Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable.
  • Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment relative to the area of work.
