Job Summary:The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. This includes performing selected tests and measurements, maintaining documentation on all treatments, and ensuring appropriate equipment performance prior to each use.
Responsibilities:- Work with patients of all ages, from children to geriatric patients, to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
- Perform selected tests and measurements as directed by the therapist, and maintain accurate documentation on all treatments.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant or equivalent experience.
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
