Job Summary:

This role provides quality care to patients and families to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing practice standards and be able to perform general nursing care, assist with patient preparation, and document clinical information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs general nursing care in accordance with established nursing practice standards.
• Assists with patient preparation, including collecting assessment data and preparing patient for examination.
• Documents clinical information on patient records and orders diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurse or physician.
• Schedules procedures and obtains authorizations as necessary.
• May provide oversight and technical expertise, administer injections or medication, collect blood or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as an LPN.
• 3 years' LPN or LVN experience.
• PALS or ACLS may be required based on specific area of practice.
• CPR – American Heart Association certification.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearance certificates.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• State-approved IV course certification.
• Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
