Job Summary

As a Radiation Therapist in our Proton Therapy Center, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients with cancer. Under the supervision of a radiation oncologist, you will administer radiation therapy treatments according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist
  • Work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest radiation therapy techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology or Radiologic Technology
  • Registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Licensure as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in the state of Maryland
  • CPR certification
  • Three years of clinical practice in Radiation Therapy
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a clinical environment with frequent interruptions and multiple demands. You may be physically or verbally abused by patients and may be required to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You must practice established radiation safety principles, including wearing and maintaining film badges and personal protective equipment.
