Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $40,000 - $55,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Provide a positive patient experience by performing basic patient care and contributing to the clinic's healthcare team.
    • Greet patients, maintain a courteous and professional demeanor, and address them in the waiting room.
  • Clinical Tasks:
    • Perform MA functions: intake, discharge, telephone messaging, medication administration, result reporting, authorizations, and assisting with in-office procedures.
    • Obtain and record patient's weight, height, and vital signs, and document them into the patient's record.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Review patient's past medical, social, surgical, and family history.
    • Educate and assist patients with MyChart sign up.
    • Discuss the After Visit Summary (AVS) with the patient and/or caregiver.

Requirements:

  • Previous clinic job-related experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Complete a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Program (LPN, RN) or 3 years experience as an MA in a clinic setting or enrollment in an accredited Nursing program and completion of first clinical rotation required.
  • Maintain BLS certification.
