Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform various clinical and administrative tasks, and contribute to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $40,000 - $55,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide a positive patient experience by performing basic patient care and contributing to the clinic's healthcare team.
- Greet patients, maintain a courteous and professional demeanor, and address them in the waiting room.
- Clinical Tasks:
- Perform MA functions: intake, discharge, telephone messaging, medication administration, result reporting, authorizations, and assisting with in-office procedures.
- Obtain and record patient's weight, height, and vital signs, and document them into the patient's record.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Review patient's past medical, social, surgical, and family history.
- Educate and assist patients with MyChart sign up.
- Discuss the After Visit Summary (AVS) with the patient and/or caregiver.
Requirements:
- Previous clinic job-related experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Complete a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Program (LPN, RN) or 3 years experience as an MA in a clinic setting or enrollment in an accredited Nursing program and completion of first clinical rotation required.
- Maintain BLS certification.
