Job Summary:The Tower Operating Room is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment that serves as Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma facility. We are seeking an RN Unit Supervisor to join our team full-time, providing leadership and guidance to our clinical staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to the OR team, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and staff performance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- One year of Operating Room nursing experience.
- Two years or more of direct OR Registered Nurse Supervisory experience is highly desired.
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA.
- CNOR preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.
- Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.
