We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Procedure Room. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, under the supervision of the department manager and the clinical direction of the Registered Professional Nurse, Physician or Surgical PA.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and clinical support to the team in the procedure room.
- Function as part of the interdisciplinary health care team, serving as a resource for other team members and participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Collect, record, and evaluate relevant patient health data accurately.
- Implement and document specified interventions, identifying and reporting deviations from expected patient outcomes.
- Adhere to approved, research-based practice standards.
- Assist in daily operational and patient flow activities as required.
- Perform and document Point of Care (POC) testing and quality control in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures.
- Clean the procedure room within 5 minutes of patient departure from the room.
- Perform manual portion of scope cleaning within 6-10 minutes.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program, required.
- Minimum one year experience as an Licensed Practical Nurse, required.
- Current NYS licensure as a LPN or valid interim permit, required.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date, required.
This role requires heavy work, exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects. The role also involves occasional mechanical and radiation/radiant energy hazards, as well as frequent bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure.
