Pathologist Position in East Tennessee

The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join their team in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Clinical Duties:
The selected candidate will be responsible for participating in general surgical pathology and non-gyn cytopathology sign-outs, as well as sharing CP coverage and call responsibilities with other pathologists. Additionally, they will share sign-out of peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy specimens with another pathologist. The successful candidate will also provide clinical and didactic teaching to pathology residents and be an active participant in teaching pathology to medical students in the preclerkship phase of our integrated curriculum.
The ideal candidate must be board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and have a solid background as a generalist in surgical pathology and cytopathology. They should also have either documented long-term experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears, or be hematopathology fellowship trained and either board-certified, or board eligible in hematopathology.
