The Ideal Candidate: Should possess extensive experience with ERP systems and report generation. A background as a Staff Accountant or in Financial Analysis, particularly with month-end close processes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, is essential. A proven track record in manufacturing is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, customer credits and collections, payroll, inventory management, fixed asset records, and general accounting.
  • Lead the accounting and customer service teams, ensuring tasks are appropriately allocated and completed promptly.
  • Execute all month-end and year-end accounting functions, including closing procedures, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis. Prepare journal entries and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
  • Exhibit expertise in accounting and customer service systems, particularly ERP software, to meet reporting requirements and provide ad hoc reports to management and sales teams.
  • Direct the analysis and reporting of financial data, including budgets and necessary filings, ensuring expenses align with projected revenues and presenting insights to management.
  • Engage in the company's auditing processes, collecting necessary documentation and conducting physical inventory counts through the ERP system.
Essential Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting roles with increasing responsibilities, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with information systems and proficiency in report writing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful management experience with a professional team.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with the accounting close process.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations relevant to the position.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and proficient internet usage.
