Job Overview

Position Summary
This role involves the meticulous planning and preparation of nutritious snacks and meals, alongside managing kitchen inventory and supplies. The individual will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while embracing temporary assignments within the academy. Key attributes include organization, punctuality, a positive demeanor, and the ability to effectively implement our 5-week rotational menu.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare meals and snacks in alignment with established menus and nutritional guidelines.
  • Calculate meal and snack quantities and distribute food to respective classrooms.
  • Clear trays and leftovers from classrooms and dispose of them appropriately.
  • Conduct weekly inventory of food and supplies, submitting necessary orders to the director.
  • Order food and supplies from approved vendors, adhering to the budget set by the director, and verify delivery accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state health department regulations, maintaining high standards of personal hygiene, safety, and sanitation.
  • Maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment, including all appliances and inventory.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as required.
  • Be flexible in accepting temporary assignments, such as supervising classrooms in the absence of regular staff and assisting children during activities.

Additional Duties
Responsible for transporting school-aged children to their designated elementary schools and performing other related tasks as needed.
