About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Master Fabricator & Installation Specialist to join our team at FarrWest. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and finishing high-quality projects for Police, Fire, and EMS vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create design ideas and drawings of projects based on customer needs
  • Produce high-quality MIG/TIG/Stick welds with Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless
  • Fabrication of small brackets and mounts for various vehicles
  • Powdercoat or paint finished products
  • Installation of finished products into vehicles
  • Accurately estimate and order material for projects and stock
  • Bumper, truck accessory, and K-9 kennel repairs and installation
Requirements
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Some knowledge of welding and cutting tools preferred
  • Ability to safely use and maintain large metal working equipment and cutting tools
  • Knowledge of 12-volt systems and general automotive a plus
  • Must be able to read tape measure quickly and accurately and have basic fabrication geometry knowledge
  • Personal hand tools and tool storage required
  • Some knowledge of a variety of metal materials
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time during fabrication and be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or crawl frequently
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to adapt and change direction on a project when additional accessories might be added to the project
