Job Title: Family Physician/Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Physician/Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Family Health Care Centers of Greater Los Angeles. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct outpatient care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing current clinical standards and protocols.
  • Lead a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) clinical team, supporting midlevel providers, nursing staff, and other support staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities, as well as staff trainings.
  • Use prudent clinical judgment and current clinical standards in the ordering and interpretation of laboratory, radiographic, and diagnostic studies.
  • Refer patients to specialty care using evidence-based clinical judgment.
  • Foster a team-based approach to care, maintaining a collegial and pleasant work environment.
  • Consider the influence of socioeconomic and environmental factors in the assessment and development of treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.
  • Follow regional and federal guidelines in the reporting of communicable diseases.
  • Perform clinical procedures in keeping with sound clinical judgment and evidence-based primary care.
  • Maintain accurate EMR records, ensuring timely entries.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical college in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current Unrestricted California Medical License.
  • Current Valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
  • Current Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Board Certification or Eligibility.
