The Logistics Merchandiser Trainee role at Coca-Cola Consolidated is an engaging position focused on acquiring and executing daily responsibilities related to route logistics and product merchandising. This includes restocking items on shelves, organizing product displays, and providing route support when needed. Individuals in this position may be assigned various delivery responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate a Class A CDL vehicle and complete necessary licensing within a designated training period. This encompasses servicing clients, processing invoices using handheld technology, and ensuring accurate management of cash and documentation.
  • Develop merchandising expertise to boost customer satisfaction and adhere to Company standards. This involves implementing commercial strategies in customer locations and effectively maintaining product displays.
  • Enhance customer service capabilities to address client needs and relay concerns to management. Uphold a professional demeanor and prioritize safety while performing job functions.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Understanding of the beverage and logistics sector
  • Customer relationship management skills
  • Strong emphasis on safety and ongoing improvement
  • Prior experience in route logistics, stocking, or retail supervision preferred
  • Self-driven with exceptional customer service skills
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy items
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL)
  • Passing physical requirements
