About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Station Technician to join our team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. This is a 48-hour position every two weeks, working 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend. The role is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

Benefits and Compensation

The starting base rate of pay for this position is $22.00. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.

About the Unit

The Float Pool team supports the Medical Surgical, ICU, and Birthplace inpatient units with many opportunities for growth. Our culture is supportive of people pursuing their fullest potential and being part of a hardworking team.

Responsibilities

The Nursing Station Technician position is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing receptionist duties on the station, and maintaining patient care areas.

The NST assists in the transfer/positioning and mobility of patients, including assisting with ADLs and general patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate room turnover
  • Audit and maintain unit supplies
  • Coordinate activities of nursing station to support patient care staff
  • Manage medical record flow and patient care charts
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required
  • Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program
  • Or six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting
  • Or current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
  • Or current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire
