About the Logistics and Storage Organization

The Logistics and Storage organization is a critical component of Marathon Petroleum Corporation's operations, responsible for transporting crude oil and refined products to and from our refineries and storage terminals. Our team works closely with various business segments to ensure the efficient and safe movement of products.

Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Logistics and Storage Engineering Intern/Co-op program. As an intern/co-op, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in the logistics and storage industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project scope and engineering oversight
  • Contribute to technical design, cost estimating, and schedule development
  • Evaluate and summarize bid sets
  • Provide construction supervision and safety leadership
  • Coordinate with operations groups and project documentation
  • Travel to construction sites, primarily in the eastern U.S.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Corrosion Engineering
  • Strong academic performance
  • Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship
  • Positions available spring, summer, and fall semesters
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Military experience a plus
  • Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program
