Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic Surgery team at Cleveland Clinic Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary and specialty care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and initiate lab and radiology tests as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct routine and specialized procedures, including OR first assist and joint injections/aspirations.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by licensure and Cleveland Clinic policies.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and health promotion.
  • Participate in medical team rounds, collaborate with nursing and other healthcare team members, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Refers patients to specialists as needed and facilitates appropriate length of stay and discharge planning.
Requirements
  • MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role.
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
  • Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable state(s) and must be licensed as an RN in applicable state(s).
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
