Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Physiatrist/Physical Medicine Specialist to join our team at BAS Healthcare.

About the Job

This is a PRN (as-needed) opportunity with no call requirements. We are willing to accept physicians with a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine, as well as those with experience in compensation and pension exams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform medical examinations and evaluations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing
  • Complete standardized forms and reports within 48 hours of exam completion
  • Participate in record review and administrative work, including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics
Requirements
  • Physician licensure and board certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
  • Use of a goniometer
