Key Responsibilities

As an ICU Registered Nurse, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Implementing and evaluating care strategies based on patient responses.
  • Documenting nursing interventions and patient outcomes accurately.
  • Providing education to patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
  • Administering medications and managing IV therapies in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicating any changes in patient conditions to the Charge Nurse or physician promptly.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted from an accredited program.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year of employment.
