Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Director to join our team at De Vore Recruiting. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care
    • Foster a resident-centered approach to care, promoting dignity and respect for all residents.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and services.
  • Nursing Department Management
    • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure excellent care and services.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided by the nursing department.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and services.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Must be a Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse holding a valid California nursing license in good standing.
    • Minimum of 2 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
