Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Market of Choice is looking for a dedicated and skilled Chef to enhance our culinary operations. This role involves working in a modern urban venue that offers a unique dining experience for both small gatherings and large events. The compensation for this position ranges from $19 to $22.50 per hour, based on experience, with potential for growth up to $25 per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Kitchen Management Team in daily operations
  • Prepare customer orders with precision and care
  • Ensure food quality and consistency
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and staff
  • Oversee daily kitchen activities, including salad and soup preparation
  • Coordinate timing of orders and production schedules
  • Manage inventory and stock products effectively
  • Maintain fresh product supplies
  • Train and assess kitchen staff as necessary
  • Uphold health and safety sanitation standards
  • Possess a valid Food Handler card

QUALIFICATIONS

While catering experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a culinary role. Availability for various shifts, including weekends, is required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a current food handler's card or ServSafe certification.
