Senior Grants Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grants Writer to join our team at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. As a key member of our Futures Institute, you will play a critical role in identifying, writing, and submitting external funding proposals to support our research initiatives.

• Collaborate with faculty to develop and submit grant proposals that align with our research priorities.
• Provide expert support in writing and editing grant applications, including institutional and general components.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance faculty participation in grant activities and increase grant income.
• Lead quality enhancement initiatives for grant submissions and promote awareness of grant opportunities that match faculty research interests.
• Support the development of partnerships for grant opportunities and provide guidance on conflict of interest, security, export control, and other regulatory requirements.

• Master's degree from a leading R1 university.
• Three years of grant writing experience or equivalent academic research/writing experience.
• Evidence of successful grant writing and submission experience.
• Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Ph.D. degree from a US R1 university or foreign equivalent.
• Evidence of successfully writing grants over $1 million.
