About the Role

Fessler & Bowman Inc is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating function, you will be responsible for developing accurate estimates, conducting thorough project take-offs, and identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative estimates consistent with our costs
  • Conduct detailed project take-offs, assembling quantities and man hour requirements
  • Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing, reviewing prequalification requirements
  • Identify project-specific risk issues and potential strategies to mitigate them
  • Review project plans and specifications, communicating with stakeholders and internal resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of construction experience
  • Proficient in using Bid2Win estimating software or similar tool(s)
  • Estimating medium-to-large commercial and industrial projects
  • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style
