Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice RN Cardiac Stepdown will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring timely communication with teams
  • Participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac care, preferably in an acute setting
  • A strong foundation in nursing principles, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
