Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Leadership: Oversee the daily functions of a group of children, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

  • Classroom Maintenance: Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom, encouraging children to explore and learn with confidence.
  • Behavioral Support: Provide clear expectations and positive reinforcement to promote positive behavior and social skills.
  • Teamwork and Professionalism: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve school goals, adhering to the Primrose School of Druid Hills Employee Handbook.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Meet the basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies and possess a strong understanding of early childhood development.
  • Experience: Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Education: A 2-year degree in early childhood or a related field is preferred for Infant-Preschool Teachers, while a 4-year degree is required for Pre-Kindergarten Teachers and Kindergarten Teachers.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children and facilitating programs.
