Housekeeper (On Call) - Behavioral Health Specialist

Telecare Corporation is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team at Morton Bakar Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility providing psychosocial rehabilitation and skills-building support for older adults with severe mental illness. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities- Clean and service building areas, including floors, furniture, and fixtures
- Perform a variety of housekeeping duties, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Restock supplies and equipment as needed
- Assist with laundry and linen services
- Participate in fire and disaster drills and respond to emergencies as needed
- Collaborate with clinical staff to manage assaultive behavior and ensure resident safety
- 1 year of relevant experience in a hotel, motel, healthcare, or similar environment
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance (if applicable)
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- High school graduation or equivalent
The physical demands of this role include occasional sitting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, repetition, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The employee may be exposed to uneven walking surfaces and hazardous materials.
