Job Summary:

As an Autonomy Engineer at Caterpillar, you will develop software for autonomous systems supporting machine New Product Introduction programs. Your responsibilities will include configuration, integration, build, and testing of autonomy software. You will also be responsible for requirements development and verification of software in a bench or simulation environment, as well as troubleshooting software or system defects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software change requirements review and analysis.
  • Write Code.
  • Test plan creation, execution, and documentation.
  • Review Code.
  • Participate in daily standups and Sprint Planning in DevOps.
  • Completion of feature-specific testing using manual, automated, and simulation methods.
  • Support for system and software troubleshooting in the lab, factory, and field.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering is required. You will also have a deep working knowledge of autonomy in on or off-road applications and be able to apply current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in your general area of technical competence.
