Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty and ILTS 208 Tutor to join our team at Governors State University. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for assisting Mathematics Teacher Education students in preparing for the Mathematics 208 exam (ILTS 208), required for licensure for teaching in Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and tutor Mathematics Teacher Education students in preparation for the ILTS 208 exam
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to ensure student success
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive learning experience
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Tutoring or teaching experience at the high school or college level with a variety of courses, such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, and statistics
  • Familiarity with the Illinois math content test for teacher licensure, ILTS 208
  • Teaching certificate in secondary mathematics (preferred)
