Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Baltimore Buildings Division. The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team to design and develop mechanical building systems and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the oversight of up to three mechanical engineers, including training, mentorship, and quality control.
- Perform engineering calculations, code analysis, and lead the mechanical design for all phases of a project.
- Provide guidance, technical direction, and mentorship to support team members, including other mechanical engineers/designers.
- Coordinate design and design issues with the project manager, team members, and outside design consultants.
- Responsible for mechanical systems design and equipment specification, code analysis, site survey and investigation, energy modeling, sustainability certification documentation, and life cycle cost analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of seven years of mechanical engineering and design experience.
- EIT Certification.
- Design experience using Autodesk Revit software for Building Information Modeling.
- Experience with field work and documentation of existing engineering conditions.
- Experience in one or more of the market focus areas listed below.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE).
- Strong work ethic and solid organizational skills.
