Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs of patients using radiographic equipment, ensuring compliance with radiation safety guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently, performing all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure accurate charges and verified physician orders.
  • Provide professional and courteous patient care, preparing examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, and maintaining room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients, and review each exam for technical accuracy, completing the verification process in PACS.
  • Collaborate with the Diagnostic Supervisor to maintain PACS cleanliness, including cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, closing and sending exams from workstations, and completing personal educational requirements.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • Vocational School Graduate.
