Senior Environmental Risk Underwriter

We are seeking a skilled Senior Environmental Risk Underwriter to join our team at Diedre Moire Corporation in Muncie, IN. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting environmental insurance coverage lines, including General Liability, Contractors Professional Liability, Pollution Liability, and Premises Pollution Liability.
In this role, you will:
- Review policies and verify acceptability in adherence to underwriting guidelines and granted underwriting authority.
- Accept, modify, or decline risks based on thorough assessments.
- Oversee and approve indicated endorsements.
- Utilize underwriting tools to determine accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges.
- Consult with general agents & brokers to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain underwriting guidelines.
- Manage brokers and assigned underwriting territory.
- Provide technical expertise related to Phase I & Phase II investigations, Environmental Site Assessments, Remediation Projects, Environmental Compliance, Storage Tanks, and similar.
- Environmental Contractors & Consultants
- Manufacturers & Distributors of Environmental Products
- Industrial Use Products with Pollution Exposures
- Environmental Facilities (Landfills, WWTPs, Recycling Facilities, and similar)
- Fire & Water Restoration Contractors
- General & Trade Contractors' Pollution or Professional Liability
- Premises Pollution Liability
- Environmental Accounts seeking Excess Liability
- Storage Tank Pollution
- AND Similar

Requirements and BenefitsTo succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of experience as an Insurance Underwriter. Our ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
We offer a salary range of $100,000 to $300,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
