Job Description:

The Medical Support Specialist will provide vital support in a healthcare setting by assisting physicians in patient care, handling appointment scheduling, and managing medical records. This role ensures a patient-centered approach, maintaining confidentiality and dignity while conveying a positive image of the practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned, including identifying self to patients and families and explaining roles of each member of the care delivery team.
  • Sends and receives patient medical records, abstracts new patient records into EPIC, and performs administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Prepares instruments and equipment according to department protocol and maintains patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity.
  • Assists with chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
