About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Mammography Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography radiographic procedures to detect and diagnose abnormalities in patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing Mammography Procedures: You will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
  • Patient Data Entry and Monitoring: You will enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in record-keeping.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance: You will perform quality assurance on mammography equipment, maintaining its optimal performance and contributing to accreditation renewal efforts.
  • Reporting Incidents and Maintaining Safety Standards: You will identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Emergency Response and Support: You will be available to take emergency calls within the department, providing timely assistance and support as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications: You must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and hold certifications in Basic or Advanced Life Support, a current license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), and registration as a Registered Radiology Technologist and Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R and ARRT-M).
  • Experience and Skills: You must possess strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
