The Clinical Care Coordinator I at Sarasota Memorial Health demonstrates the competency to provide patient care according to the age-specific population needs and assist in the management of patient care in the physician office setting under the direct supervision of a provider. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care according to age-specific population needs
- Assist in the management of patient care in the physician office setting
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or a certified EMT
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date
- One (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician's office practice; or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs
- Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software along with skill in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
Work Schedule
Monday- Friday 8a - 5p
